How we got here

Syl and Sarah walking hand in hand across a footbridge in the woods
[Where this was taken], [month year]

It started with a forecast that got it completely wrong.

[Two or three sentences. Where you met, what the weather was doing, the detail only the two of you would think to mention.]

[A second paragraph if you want it — the proposal, the move, the dog. Keep it shorter than feels right. People are here for the address and the start time, and they'll like you more for getting to the point.]

[Close with the invitation itself.]

The day itself

From first light to last dance.

Getting there & staying

It's a drive. Make a weekend of it.

By air

Nearest airports

Binghamton (BGM) about 1h15 · Albany (ALB) about 1h45 · Newburgh (SWF) about 1h45. The New York City airports are roughly three hours. Rent a car either way — there's no other way in.

Beds

[Hotel name]

[Address in Delhi or Margaretville]. Block held under "[block name]" until [date], at [rate] a night.

Beds

Rent a house

Delhi, Andes, Bovina and Margaretville are all within half an hour and full of places to rent. Worth splitting one with people you like — there's not much hotel stock up here, and it goes early.

The drive

Getting up the hill

About three hours from New York City, two from Albany. The last stretch is winding country road with patchy phone signal — download the directions before you leave the highway.

Wear

Dress

[Garden formal]. The ceremony is on a grass hilltop, so heels will sink. Late-August evenings in the Catskills drop into the fifties once the sun goes — bring a layer you don't mind being photographed in.

Registry

You being there is the thing. If you insist: [registry name].

Questions

Asked and answered.

Can I bring someone?

Your invitation code brings up everyone we've saved a seat for — you'll see the names when you enter it. If we've got it wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

Are kids invited?

[Yes, absolutely / We're keeping it adults-only, with an exception for the ones in the wedding party.] [If yes: there's a sitter from 8pm in the [room].]

What if it rains?

Then it rains. Everything moves into the barn and the day runs exactly on schedule. Don't check the forecast on our behalf — one of us already is, hourly.

Where do I park?

There's parking on the property. You can leave a car overnight and collect it the next morning — please do, if there's any doubt.

I've lost my invitation code.

Email us at [you@example.com] and we'll send it back to you. It's six characters, printed under your name on the invitation.

I have a dietary restriction.

There's a box for it on the RSVP form, and the kitchen reads every one. Be as specific as you like.

When do I need to RSVP by?

Saturday 24 July 2027. After that the caterer's count is locked and we genuinely can't add anyone.
